Nadi astrology believes that the past, present and future of all human beings were predicted and foreseen by the sages of olden days and written on leaves in ancient/vedic langauge.
Great Sages or Rishis envisioned the future of anybody on earth. Hundreds of years ago, these predictions were written in a particular script on Palm Leaves, and these leaves give the base or the platform of Nadi Jyotish or Nadi Astrology.
Astrology under the Nadi discipline is very interesting. A person gives his thumb impression, which is compared to about 108 aspects as described in the Nadi Shastra. These are Shanka Rekha, Chakra Rekha, Chandra Rekha, etc. In Nadi astrology, all these aspects give matching to different areas of thumb impression, and each area has some qualities written in those scripts. The nearest bundle of Nadi leaves are then used to tally with the personal and family details of the person. The reader reads out the future prediction and personal and family details of the person in the session. The predictions are divided under chapters or Kandams. Nadi Shastra bases more on the 12 equal divisions in the zodiac with further equal subdivisions of the 27 Nakshatras (Lunar Mansions) and a sub-division of unequal sub-lords. This technique gives importance to the sub-lord that is also known more powerful than the Lunar Mansions.
